It's really nice seeing your new details inside the bridge. All the extra's you added have made your model quite unique. If you ever do get to visit the UK I would hope to share some time with you at some sub meet. That would be real neat.

If you ever want to add some detail or add some highlights, consider a pencil. It adds a nice metal look to worn edges or just a different shade.
The Dutch word for what I was calling a compass repeater is "Peilorus". I was told it is "for measure to other ships". Around the tube on top is a ring that has markings. On some photos it is white with black ticks for 360 degrees, others it looks darker, but not sure. So I wanted to make it lighter, but not white.

I sanded the sail with 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper and wanted to keep the skull and crossed swords. So, I did something I have not done since I was a young man. To mask the decal, I used wood glue.

Now I used to use white glue, but did not have or could not find. The wood glue should work.
      Painted it over the decal.

Let it sit a little bit, enough to skin over.

Painted the sail. The bummer is, I do not have the same paint I used when I originally painted it. That "black" had a slight blueish gray in it. You will see the difference in a little bit.

Let the paint dry for several hours and then under running water, began picking at the wood glue area. It did not come off as easy as I remember, but I used my fingernail to work it off.

With careful scratching, the glue came off.

Let that all dry. Used a clear matte to seal everything in.

Around the navigation light were I had placed tape, you might be able to see the original color.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

Had a brief moment this weekend to run the Walrus. Sometimes that is all I need.

I really like the photo of running with the masts up and above the surface.
I like the clarity of the water!

Went to the first SubRonLA run in 2021 (heck since Covid shut things down). It was a great time, but had an issue at the end of the day. I had ballast control, but no throttle. All plans worked too! So random thoughts went through my mind from thrown prop to an electrical issue. Ralph and Will both had rescue boats.
Placing a slight port turn, I can leave the sub alone and it will make circles at periscope depth. This allows me to take some photos.

Will's tug is a piece of art, but I always liked tug type boats.

Lastly, here is Ralph's rescue barge at work on my Walrus.

I will post later on the issues and fix.

I went to the river this past Monday (July 5th). Ran the Walrus, love this sub. If you watch to the end you will see I got a little cocky and went past the camera a little too close. LOL
