    I am doing some semi-major

I am doing some semi-major modifications to the cylinder and bow section now and will tell more as I go.
I hope to have it done by the regatta. I am shortening the cylinder by 1.75" (Ballast section too big) and adding an extra pressure tank and a battery tube.
Just part of an evolving plan of attack.
    This is R&D BABY!!!!!!!!!!! BD.

      Here is the modified cylinder.

Here is the modified cylinder. Tank is 2" shorter, front section is 1/4" longer, and twin bladders installed. Cylinder is now 22" LOA. BD.

At this rate my hair would be grayer than it is now if I had any left!!
Many problems today. I had to step back and rethink my plan.

            OK BD. Easy. Don't worry

OK BD. Easy. Don't worry about the Regatta. Just focus on the problem. Go build something else for awhile. You should have a BK by now.

            You will get it!

                I had an email last

I had an email last night from my good friend Paul (Steamboy).
He is always good for giving me ideas, sometimes dumb, Just kidding my friend!!
And sometimes something right in front of my face that I could not see.
He through one of his "What if's" at me and it was like "Hello Mcfly"
He may have hit on something that I will follow up on today.
                Thanks, Mr. P!!! BD.

                      Everyone knows it is 11PM.

                      Everyone knows it is 11PM.
But it is lunch for me and I have some info to share.
Looks like my new design is going to work out.
My problem was lack of room for two pressure tanks and the batteries in the area I had picked in the nose.
I had forgotten I had made small end caps in the size I need to install a different battery. These are Lithium Ion laptop computer cells. One cell is 3.7 Volts and these are rated a 4400MA. Two will give me 7.4V at 4400MA. I can run all day on this much power.
I made two small battery tubes similar to the ones I use in my Gato. These will mount just above the FS-1 hatch, and the two pressure tanks will mount just above them. It even leaves me with some room in the top of the nose for foam, and the batteries are down low where they should be. Still working out the small details but it all fits which is the main thing.
Thanks again Paul for jogging my old brain. BD.

I was able to get a few hours in on the build today and the battery tube mount is in. My second pressure tank just arrived from the UPS man so tomorrow I can button her back up again and continue trimming.

I finished the installation of the twin pressure tanks, and the battery mount.
I am working with very limited space for it all to fit and I was running into interference problems.
Kind of like a Chinese puzzle, to move one thing you need to move four others.
The bottom line is everything is in there and it turned out better than my original design.
I have easy access to the battery connector through the FS-1 hatch with one screw.
I have access to the batteries or to pull out the cylinder with two screws.
I hope to have her back in the pool this weekend for more final trimming. BD.
