keel weight
I was given a good suggested advice into not adding weight to the keel. That's until the boat was ready to be trimmed . Some of Engel's boat models have to much weight . So I took it under additional Advisement, to add the weight but with a film between the keel and the weight so it can be removed . Once cured I took them out did a little bit of trimming, and know they are removable. So if I need less weight it's as easy as trim off some until boat is trimmed, once I have correct weight then glue them in . What do you think of this idea! guysLast edited by u-571; 11-29-2018, 11:37 PM.

Jim, You might want to check the bolts engle put in your kit. Your going to want to be sure there all stanless steel. When I was doing the radio box, I learned it was better to use stanless steel bolts with brass nuts. that way if you over torque the bolt it was the nut that strepped out and that was very easy to replace. A lot better then trying to dig out a bolt that has been glued in place. Best Wishes Mike Dory

Hello mike
yes I think that's a good idea you are so right Engels has some bolts In the kit that are stainless steel. I have gone to home depot and purchase 3/4 long bolts with stainless steel nuts I will be carful when i tight them down . plus I have stainless steel wing nuts easy to get them off at least nothing is going to rust, Less likely I would say
