    I have not.
And I doubt if anyone else has either.
You would need some way to measure the thrust.
Some kind of test fixture gizmo I would think.
The best I did was hold it in my hand and feel the force when powered up.
Which I felt was more than enough for the FS1. BD

Hi PaulC, I just wanted to introduce myself to you and to the other members of The SubCommittee forum. I wanted to point out to you that the insert photo of Mr. Ian Lawrence's 2nd Flying Sub / XFS-38 Searay, Flying Sub, aka FS-2 Beastie, was commissioned by yours truly in '2011 for my birthday. Mr. Lawrence and I had an awesome collaboration during this building project and since then became good friends.

        • I'm sure you can find plenty of craftsmen willing to build you a up a flying sub kit, when accompanied by a nice big wedge of cash in exchange for their time and talent.

Sorry for being away so long. Nothing new to report at present. Just wanted to affirm how awesome FAB1's build is. It truly is stunning. And hwoodman if you were inquiring about me building you a kit, I will have to defer to others who have more time and skill than I do.
            Warm regards,

Paul I have one too and I'm thinking it through. Did the pumps amp draw get resolved. They don't really pull 30 amps? Do they. I need to read this thread through a bit more.

Beautiful job. I built one much like this for a client 4 years ago with all the lighting and PE parts. The hard part about making it an RC model is losing most of that beautiful interior. I might have to get another just for static display.

I once had two of the original screen used models for awhile back in the 70s. They never looked this good. Great job!

What is your plan for Reverse?
I used 4 pumps, power fist brand from princess auto.
A mixer from Kevin McLeod and 4 diodes all running on 11.1 volt 2200 pack.

Rick, my cunning plan is to avoid dead ends at all costs. We shall see...

With practice you can still get out of a corner Buy pivoting on its nose with one thruster quick burst pivot on nose let it drift take off
