    Re: 2014 SubRegatta July 18,19,20th

    Hello every one
& thank you for your response these day's.
Do you know in our country (Iran) there are a lot of people & group's that work Specialist on RC submarine and they are in every age (16-75).
    they work good.
It's about 7 years that we work on RC Submarines & of course we work just in our country.
But when you come & see the others Sub through the international event you will say WOW
It's about more than one year that I see your Sub in this event every year they are very beautiful I mean your sub so I really wish to come to your event (subregatta 2014) . If it become possible I really become happy not me even my friends.
But in the other hand I have one problem & it is the visa. for getting visa I need an invitation from subcommittee just an invitation.
so for getting an invitation I need to contact to the leader of this committee or a person that can give us this letter of invitation.
Do you know It's about less than two week that I come to this group I don't know a lot of the people here.
I really hope to see you all in July then I can learn a lot of things from you. please help me to find the leader of this committee to send my request to him.
    thank you very much
I hope to see you soon
I'm so happy and I can't wait for July
    thank you all

If you have not registered for the 2014 SubRegatta, please consider doing it soon! Also do not forget to reserve your room. Tom Spettel mention a possible recon of the lake, hopefully we will get some photos!
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

hey guys here is an update for the regatta.. Don has been talking with the guys at the resort about the use of the pool for trimming or running.
Tents for T-shirt sales. We are good to go with the two tents in the area we talked about. We are also a go for selling the T-shirts.
Pool use for the subs. I talked with the spa director and he said we are good to use the pool on Friday or Saturday night around the 7pm to 9pm time frame. He just wanted to note the disclaimer that the pool is still open and could have guests using it. I think if people are using the pool they might get out just to see the subs driving around.

              Re: 2014 SubRegatta July 18,19,20th

A recent recon came up with this:

The lake looks good and ready for subs. The bottom of this pond is clear of obstructions and about 9' to 11' deep. Pretty level throughout the bottom. Get your reservations in because this is going to be fun.

I'll second that - I'd really like to see what Tim's been up to!

For those interested in seeing the new 1/48 scale Type VIIc kit from ArkModel up close, Feng plans to bring it to SubRegatta as part of his vendor display.

I will see what I can do. I might be able to get some wireless microphones from work to use too. I know the topic and it will be the coolest..... I better stop. Do not want to even hint at what it is about.

The start of the 2014 SubRegatta is 3 weeks away!
Please do not hold off registering. It helps those planning the event to know how to set it up. Very jazzed (do they still use that phrase?) that Arkmodels might be showing up and looking forward to meeting all of you.

I initially planned on being there a few days beforehand, but those plans changed, so I will be pulling an all nighter to get there on the 19th! I try not to get excited about something, so that I am not disappointed if it does not occur. I got to say, that this is really hard for me to not get excited.

I was asked how I knew there are no traps under the surface, well here is why:

Earlier the lake was drained for construction and an earlier recon by Tom Spettel produced these photos.
