    The new prop came in. It is smaller than I thought it would be, but Sam was thrilled. I had him put the prop on and we tested the new prop.



    Pretty sure this one will not blow a fuse. Sam was disappointed in the speed. I can see why. It is listed as having a diameter of 40mm, but the shroud looks like it could handle 45mm (just guessing).

    It is charging up for another run tomorrow.
    If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

      The prop on a left is a prop shop kort prop. That would be a my choice for a neptune, but not cheap and it needs to be one that closely matches the inside of the shroud, the narrower the gap the better the thrust. The prop on the right is a 2-blade X prop, lots of pitch lots of blade area, and cheap as chips. the motor on the neptune should pull one of those easily enough.



      Or you could have a go at making one of your own.
