Not sure Matt could tell you as he was not there.

But I can say it ran OK.
Still have some trapped air issues, but no real bad characteristics for the first time in open water.
I am happy so far. BD.

Well it was hard to tell with Skip watching me run and saying my driving sucks.
He kept telling me I needed an APC.
Lets face it. Everybody's driving sucks compared to his.

I was happy with the way the boat ran.
The only issue I had was the diving planes do not seem to be responsive enough for me.
Maybe because the pivot point of the rear planes on the 23 is almost level with the bottom of the hull.

Otherwise no bad habits while underway.

But watching Skip's 30+ year old 23 he scratch built run is a sight to behold.
He is the master pilot. BD.

Skip is the best sub driver I have ever seen, hands down. Do doubt about it!!!

OTW. I was suggesting that we compare the amount of servo throw we're seeing, checking c.g., things like that.

Sounds like a plan.
I can work on getting rid of the pesky trapped air.
And put in a APC to make Skip happy.

C'mon, Dave. You'll be the happy one!

Many years ago, Mike Dory fought me tooth and nail about putting an automatic leveler (way before the days of APCs!) in one of his boats. But, he finally gave in. The very next time he put the boat in the water, he commented "This is the best thing since sliced bread!". I have that comment on tape, BTW.
