Ha-ha-ha!! Well BD, it isn't Photoshoped. It's a live shot, but it is a bit of trick photography. Think perspective. Really boyz & girlz, it's only 13.5 inches across. But you ought to see the rest of the kit. Totally amazing!

Even the manual is sweet, and in color!!
You got those wheels turning in your brain yet as to how you may engineer a working model?
I always look foreword to your approach to doing things.
But I know how tight lipped you Ivans are about your projects.
Well enough chit chat!! This is my day off and I am headed to the Dockyard to check out more of this great kit. BD.

I've had a number of ideas, but its hard to work things out in 2 dimensions with nothing but paper prints to go by. Now that I have the 3-D space before me, I can get on it.

                  I have been playing with

I have been playing with the hull all morning trying to mix and match parts to see how I want to attack the install.
I think I have settled on a master plan.
Looks like I will have (JUST!!) enough room to use the larger of the two otter box's I bought.
The plan is to have the motors and ESC's in the motor cylinders, and the R/X, two servos, and battery in the otter box.
There will be no ballast system as I don't feel it needs any.
The jet drives will get their intake water from a false floor with two separate chambers one for each drive. The water will come in through the front windows. This should give me some reverse as well and maybe even allow the hull to spin around its axis.
The motors will be connected to a V tail mixer so one stick will control FW-RV and side to side will turn using differential throttle.
The other controls will be two servos one to each thrust output director also using a V tail mixer. This will give me pitch and roll.
This works on paper and my Multiplex radio is able to do the mixing.
Now all I need to some time to work on it. BD.

Would that "trick" be shooting with the model close to the camera, with a small aperture, to give a large depth of field to get both model and background in focus?

I think there is suppose to be a 3.5 foot wide FS-1 model coming out in late 2009. Maybe Caswell will be carrying it..

It will be ready to fly at the fun run Tony.
The motors are 28MM and are rated at 250W and 3500 RPM/V.
They are pulling about 15A in my test and are rated for 30A so it should be a good safety factor.
The Otter Box is model 200 in clear. I got a 100 and 200 to try. You can actually download a PDF of the box's.
My plan now is to remove the entire top of the sub to get inside. Otherwise I would never be able to open the box! BD.
