    Moebius FS-1 Build

Rumor has it the FS-1 kits are in the USA.
Once mine arrives I will continue my build using the Moebius hull and my system design. My drive tubes are built and have been tested.
If my measurements are correct they will (should) fit in the hull.
I just ordered two different sized Otter box's that I may use for the receiver, servos, and maybe battery. I will post more after the UPS man knocks!! BD.

    Here are the drives.

I was wondering if one of those would be able to be adapted to a Seaview like the pumpjet that was built for you and Steve Neills?

I had looked around at the pumpjets you mentioned when you said that the drive unit that you had was not going to be offered. I then wondered if some market device would be available? I looked at the ducted fan units for jets and then the ones you mentioned.

I look forward to your Seaview propulsion as well as the Flying Sub RC you are going to build.

I would love to visit you one day Dave as your south of me. I live in Cornwall Ontario, across the boarder from Massena NY and the Adirondacks....Do you come up to the Ontario side for Bens Cottage get together?

One can argue on the terminology, but the difference is one accelerates the water to push on air or water like a garden hose nozzle. (JP) Like a Jet ski. The other moves large amounts of water to push against only water. (PJ) Like a Seawolf sub.
The FS-1 is a JP or Jet Drive. The Seaview unit is a PJ or Pump Jet. I am by no means a nautical engineer, but that is my understanding of the units.
BTW-Tracking says I will have a package tomorrow.
            Can you say FS-1 BD.

How exciting is that? Your FS is almost home.
Its an exciting time in RC and its very cool to see the hobby growing with possibilities. I originally was into electric parkflyers. That has really grown as the electronics and batteries have become more advanced and smaller and lighter as well as gaining power.

I look forward to your reports.
              Cheers Big Dave.

PS so could or would a jetpump work in a Seaview>
What size? One of the those in the FS?
I am not making one, just wondering, asking newbie questions
              as I learn.

Mine too, usually. It was a flip of the coin (or possibly the fact that my daughter's boyfriend works at the Henrietta UPS central depot ). Sit tight, its almost there.

My hull was 14" and this one is 13.5" but it looks like things will fit.
I need to get in there a poke around more.
