Except for video this ends the thread started July 30th. It was a lot of fun shearing this project with you guys. You were all great in the support department. It's much appreciated.

I learned a lot. Got a lot of advice from Merriman. Or as he put it, a kick in the butt. H ell he sent me the book and now he can finally get it back with a kit. Thanks David!

I will start running a few beta kits this weekend. Really! Now that this is done.

I can not compliment you enough on what you've done. I've been following this thread intently from the start, learning a lot along the way. That type XVII is one heck of a good looking boat. I hope you get it running as well as it looks. Some pics of it in the water would finish this thread up nicely....don't you think ?

Craftsmen (not the tools) are a rarity these days.
