Here's a better video. Can't wait to get this boat in the open water as my pool just doesn't cut the mustard.

This ends the thread for me but those of you building Dave's wonderful WTC for this boat are welcome to post your progress here.

      Hay Steve,
I finally got a chance to finish my V11c detailing. I know, I know, it has a anti-foul red bottom. So sue me! I like to believe some were made that way. You never know! Dave.

            Dave,
Your boat really looks good,I like the netcutter and the red. It makes the boat offically "early",if some people bitch tell them to bad it`s my boat.By the way is this a static boat or R/C.

              Thanks for all the nice

Thanks for all the nice comments guys This is the R/C version. It has my WTC with bow and stern planes, motor, rudder and RCABS ballast system. It uses my new single bladder system. Thanks Jeff, I was hoping for a Pre-war blessing on the boat. I just love that red. Dave.

Dave, the sub looks great. I'm going to be using a single bladder as well, can I get some pictures of the your setup?

                  Here's another test I did

Here's another test I did tonight. Unfortunately the rear dive plane wheel collar disconnected during the run which gave me pitch problems. It also shows you why you want to use both planes in this boat.

I had no help one more time so it's point and shoot. But you can tilt and pan with this system. Next time you will see this.

You hear the actual sounds of the boat this time as the tank does pic up the under water sounds.

                  Enjoy.

                    i like what you have

i like what you have done, im currently doing the VIIC revell conversion, just eanted to know with this WTC did you have to cut your sub at all? or was it slim enough to squeeze in by taking the decking off? if you have any tips or anything you think might help me out i would be gratefull for an email.
                    many thanks

Paul, it is small enough to fit in the deck opening.

Does anyone know the conning tower should be air tight or free flooding? what do you recommend and why? im a beginner so any help is appreciated!

                          I just finished the hull

                          Paul,
I just finished the hull work on my boat,I opened everything up on my hull including the lower flood grates fore and aft,the only other modifations that I made to the hull were adding brass bushings to the pivot points of the dive planes and rudders as Dave suggested on his kit CD.I also am using a WarHammer c/t kit which is very nice and the Model Brass Deck kit for the hull and flood grate details. Also I had to enlarge to the openings in the vertical frames inside the the hull to support the WTC,just slightly though. If you have any problems let me know,we can struggle through together.

                            Kapleun Val,
You need to read the entire thread. It answer most of your questions. You do not need to cut the hull at all. Looks bad and there enough room to slip the WTC in through the deck.

                            Steve

Here's the sequence from Dave's CD. These are small pictures but you'll get the idea. The CD if you buy the WTC kit has much larger pictures.

                            PS

Hope this is ok with you Dave. Many don't believe it's possible and this should end that debate. For good!

Why reinvent the wheel? Your wheel works great Dave. And as a result the boat holds it's very scale looks. That's what I like best for one about your design.
