    Hallo Tom,
    Thank you so much!!!!
Now everything is clear and logical to me, the balloons have to stay under the waterline so that it makes sense.
    Tom and Greg many thanks
    Take care stay healthy,

Tom, were the 2 bladders capable of bringing the Type VII to scale water line?

        Hallo redboat219,
        FYI
I am going to equip the boat like this now. I have to order the few parts as soon I get it I try it out. This goes fast my boat is already finish but I don’t like that it’s sitting to deep in water also foam doesn’t help.
As soon as I am finished with the conversion I will report here how is working.
        Cheers

          Dolfin,
Have you already tried placing the BD WTC inside the Revell hull? Were you able to place it in one piece? I recall that one of the quirks of BD's Type 7 wtc is you need to dissamble it, insert the rear section first followed by the front then assemble them together inside the hull.

            @redboat219
At first I tried to place it in one piece, but I can't push the rear part back that far because I have a gear at the back. I bend the WTC slightly in the middle on the rear O-ring there only 3 cables go through. I already have practice in it, it goes quickly and if you pay attention, also tight
It might be possible in one piece if you could get far enough back and push down the WTC with light force you have to get to the wide area. If you watch D.Merriman's video he also pushes his WTC into it a little.
As I said the WTC assembly in the hull is not a big deal.
            Cheers

              Hallo redboat219
Question: Are you building or do you already have the BD WTC in operation. For conversion of smaller submarines I have found interesting kits.
Maybe order a WTC there for my Seawolf. I think is not allowed to post the link from the shop.

Dolfin, if you know of a good system for subs please share. The Subcommittee is about educating, promoting, and supporting the RC submarine community.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

I have the Revell kit, BD's RCABS cylinder (unfortunately one of the acrylic tube is cracked), with Clippard valve, airpump, GWS geared motors, air bags. I also have David Merriman's Type VII fittings kit ( resin dive planes, white metal props and metal drive shafts). Everything is stored away, need to finish first my KILO.

                    Hallo,
                    here is some information
For my 1/144 Trumpeter Seawolf I think I’ll try this one:

Submarine models and submarine model components for sale: You'll find here high quality Water Tight Cilinders (WTC). Both KITs (self assembly required) and also fully assembled ones (RTR - ready to run - only your RC receiver required). Some of them include fitting (conversion) packs for particular models like Trumpeter Kilo, Seawolf and Soryu. Take

my 1/144 Kilo is using this system:

works very well but not correct on the CWL due to physical limits.
                    Greetings

Redboat what are the dimensions of the cracked tube? I have an extra set of tubes for HD’s cylinder and might be able to fix you up Greg

                        Hi Greg,
It's the center section that's cracked.

                              Hallo,
An update on my conversion. I placed the punch balloons according to the instructions. I reached close to the CWL but without a deck and a tower if I place the deck with a tower no chance to get the waterline.
It is very difficult to pinch the foil without squeezing the balloons. I spent many hours testing without success, to be honest with the system it is not possible to reach the waterline.
I spent many hours testing without success, to be honest with the system it is not possible to reach the correct waterline.
I would not dare to drive in a pond only in the swimming pool. I may be doing something wrong —conclusion project is now taking a break. I’m waiting for my Seawolf WTC this is a working system and easy to assembling.

How about reducing the weight of the internal components? Maybe swap out the big airpump for a smaller one. You'll surface slower but the less weight may help you reach CWL.
