I almost backed out of doing the Type XXI due to some personal reasons but am going forward with it. I went through he thread and I could not see what saddle size comes with the XXI, though I imagine its not to hard to alter it to whatever size is needed. Jeff did you ever get a chance to see how the 90mm system fit in your boat?
I just sent an email to R&R about getting a WTC for the Permit/Sturgeon and it got me wondering if I could actually use an R&R system, with two motor modules. This is definitely something to discuss on SubComEast Build day.

The R&R systems might be a bit long for the Sturgeon.

The Type XXI comes with 3.5" saddles.

Both Mike's and Erich's Type XXIs are in the same place. All of the glass work is done. Still have props & lots of metal bits to cast up. Also, the tons of lower flood gratings and photo etch for the deck.

Hey Matt,
Ron got back to me and agreed that both of his piston systems are too large for the Permits and Sturgeons. He suggested considering one of his pump systems, so I need to email him back to get the particulars on how his unit works as well as start doing research on them. I believe its a high pressure pump system. I am in a debate about following Erich and Jeff on the OTW system for the XXI or go the R&R route.

Subtech will have a pump system out this fall intended for the Permit & Sturgeon. It drops right in and can be ordered ready to install with everything all complete including the Rx and servos. No snorkel mechanism to deal with either! It is completely self contained.
