So here is the hull below the waterline in its final clear coat. I gave up on trying to get the algae just right. it is what it is. which is done. i tried to give the hull a look of quite a bit of salt deposits and a kind of tiger striping effect. so yeah. time to move on.
This morning I've installed some heavy brass strip, bent in a slight z shape, to the underside of the upper bow piece on either side. they slide under the main hull with a bit of tension holding them close to the hull thanks to the z bend. in the rear of the upper deck, one screw holds the entire assembly down.
Nothing really picture-worthy, but the 22 is partially trimmed (surface trim right now)....I'll be finishing it up tomorrow, just in time to take to Groton for sea trials this weekend.m
