    Jeff and Kevin are correct. I asked today my technicians at work, and some have very good experience with Multitesters, they said that always to look for higher voltage meter than the battery's, in the case
    of my tester which I took with me to work, they advised me to use the VDC portion of the tester, the upper left quarter circle in the dial. For a 12V or 7.2V battery you will set it on # 20 of the dial. The right upper quarter VAC is to test electric outlets. I learned something today. :-) Thank you all.
