I'll see what I can put together asap. I would approach it from the perspective of a novice unless there are objections. Keep in mind I am no Matt Thor...when it comes to CAD. I am self taught so you are learning from someone who did it totally DIY.

BTW I love this quote..."If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub." Maybe a bit harsh on the hobby but funny. Certainly funny. Reminds me of Golf. Lord knows if subs were = to golf...no thanks. Anyone not already familiar with subs...who may read this in the future...there is one simple truth to building a submarine...have passion about whatever sub-ject you choose because you will...cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot...

And here is the sail / conning tower. Could someone please explain the difference to me. I get why it could be called a conning tower I think (is it because it's where the captain and XO stand on watching "conning aka spying" I don't know. Someone illuminate me.
As for sail. I'm lost. Anyway here is an update:

BTW if you're thinking to yourself wondering how long does it take Chad to build one of these. You should know I have gotten very fast after 5 years and specifically 6 months of hard core effort. On average, I can now build one of these start to finish from modeling to UVing to Texturing in about 40 hours. So far this model the 707I has about 12 hours in it. Give or take a few.
