There's a new Special projects model kit out by OKB. The USS Richard B. Russell SSN-687, "Special project platform" and it has the extension on the hull bottom. Looks pretty believable. Link to OKB site: https://shop.okbgrigorov.com/product...-platform.html
Good Possibility OKb is re-doing Seawolf Special Proj too. ( And a rumor that "Polar Bear" resin models might be inclined to produce a 1/350 SSN-575 special proj model in the future.
I did not see any forum for Special proj Subs so thought this was an Ok place to list stuff.
Edit: OKB did do a Seawolf SP but it is not accurate. ISW has done the Seawolf SP in 1/350 and it is as accurate as it can be, considering the ship plans are still classified.
