    Thanks Frank. http://www.subcommittee.com/forum/icon_biggrin.gif
    I have

    Thanks Frank.
    I have the WaterSlider info.
    Length=20"
    Max Dia=3.25"
    Weight=3LB 5OZ

    As she sits now I feel she has way to much power.
    The boys at the Groton run could not believe I was saying that, but I need to tone it down and round off her sharp edges so to speak!
    She is a work in progress. BD.

        Hi Ramesh,
        Just like in

        Hi Ramesh,
        Just like in cars it comes down to power to weight ratio.
        When I was younger (and smaller) I had a Lotus Europa Twin Cam. It only had 125HP but it only weighed 1500LBS and went like a scared cat. .
        There are other variables I am sure, but the power to weight has to be a big factor. BD.

          There'll be quite an increase

          There'll be quite an increase in wetted area in the Subdog over the waterslider, so that must raise drag quite a bit.

          Norbert Bruggen makes a smaller ballfish, about 16" in length. I think that would make a nice base for a fast sub.

              Great Stuff Wheeler!

              How far into the air will it go at flank speed?

              Looks to be very stable at high speed.

                  I was at the controls

                  I was at the controls of the Subdog, whilst Ramesh took the film. It runs as straight as a die, but has a tendency to dive unless adjusted just right, then the bow lifts on a turn, which why the boat comes to the surface now and again. You can just make out my dulcet tones suggesting mixing in a little down elevator in with the rudder control.
