Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water!

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water at Carmel!!
You hear the dum dum dum dum from Jaws in the background.

Then from out of the water pops my new creation.
    (Que the sick laughter)
    My new Waterslider Prototype.
Most likely banging into something like the bottom or side of the pool, but for a short time (No doubt) it will be a rocket sled!! BD.

BTW-Check out the clown I got driving!! Ha!!

    Dave that is sweet looking.

Dave that is sweet looking. Seriously. Get some video of that thing in action. Just one question though about the clown driving. Are you talking about the one under the canopy or the one off camera with the radio in his hands? I just could not resist walking through that door you left wide open.

        You know...they say that each

You know...they say that each of us puts a little bit of ourselves into each model we build......

I think we know which 'bit' BD out into that green monster!

btw BD, is that an entirely new model or did you re-work the one you had last year? Either way that thing looks like it'll squirt through the water quite nicely!

            Why did you use octagons

Why did you use octagons for your x-tail configuration? Any hydrodynamic motivation?

              No, just for the coolness

No, just for the coolness factor!!
I thought they looked like the stabilizers on a SAM.
They do have excellent control though. BD.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water

Hey BD, where do you put all the stuff you either build or acquire from time to time. You must have a warehouse somewhere like in the movie Radiers of the lost Ark. Hey you don't by any chance have the Ark of the Covenant laying around somewhere do ya? Al,

Paul, I was thinking more like a beanie with a propeller on the top. No, just kidding BD, it puts a nice touch to your topic Al,

                        Doesn't that thing lend itself

Doesn't that thing lend itself more towards "Buzz Lightyear" than "Bozo"? But then I really don't know Big Dave.

I think my good friend Paul is saying although the sub is Buzz Lightyear, I am more of a Bozo!! BD.

                              I just did some final

I just did some final trimming in Don's pool tonight and this sub is incredible.
I will turn in is own length almost, handles like a sports car, and is quicker than a jack rabbit.
I have two photos. The one photo shows it taking off like an Polaris missle. The other is its touchdown.
I was only running 50% power in the pool demanded by the owners and it could still shoot stright up out of the water prop and all.
This is without a running start and just hovering verticaly in the water about 2" under.
It is definitly not for the faint of heart!!
