Foam - How does it work?

    Hi

You know the foam you put inside a wet hull, how does it help keep the sub afloat? Also what's it made of?

    Thanks Michael

    Michael-
    the foam everyone always speaks

    Michael-
the foam everyone always speaks of is the blue or pink insulation foam sheeting that can be found at places like Home Depot or Lowe's. Typically it's a rigid foam, dense, and it doesn't wick up water. It's used inside hulls to aid bouyancy by displacing water, while strategic placement of pieces of this foam can help balance/adjust your model so it sits correctly in the water.
    Hope that helps.
