As Mike Dory

As Mike Dory mentioned above, here is an image of the Proposed Antioch, California -West Coast sub regatta- site for October 2005. Pool repairs will be done after Labor Day 2004, preventing its use by SubCommittee. Pool normally mandated for use by swimming public during summer months. Pool is chlorinated and unheated (no fine film of tiny bubbles on hulls to upset trim), 80 yards long, 40 yards wide, 4.5 feet deep goes shallow gradually toward 'beach'. Modern restroom and snack bar and picnic tables, 30 yards from parking lot(paved asphalt pathway to transport models. Planning on this being a 'all submarine only event'. Planning a 'course', but un-determined at this time regarding 'Judging'. Comments welcome. Got okay verbally from East Bay Regional Parks superintendent, but need to be patient till 2005 with written permission granted. Parks would have liked us to use pool in October 2004, but major repairs would need to be done at that time. We will be patient and will keep in close communication with East Bay Regional Parks. I will co-ordinate regatta event time with other SC regatta events for best success all around. Tenitive plan now is early October 2005.
Check my SC homepage 'Dolphin' for further images.
