    In no way do I

In no way do I agree with a pay-per-article system. Totally unacceptable in my opinion.

You either want to be part of an organisation, or not.

This means accepting the articles that are maybe of less interest.

An online library system of articles would be valuable, but you should still expect to pay an annual membership to access them.

      Andy,

      What I am talking about

      Andy,

What I am talking about is not membership, but only SC Report distribution model.

Do you want to say that SC Report should be available only for SC members? Is it right?

I do not want to insult you, but there is no way to force me to read what I do not want to read, especially in such area as a hobby. I used live in Soviet Union, and beleive me, I have had enought.

The pay-for-article might (heck, probably will!) work for accessing back issue content, but for the current issues it's basically no-go given the current production costs for the printed SCR.

          That is right!
If the access to current issue is the privilege of the members, it is just fine. For example, BusinessWeek.com does exactly the same. And a lot of others. Almost everybody.

Why do not utilize luxury of instant payments and access to information?

            Adding a 'web store' capability

Adding a 'web store' capability is one of the near-term upgrades to this web site that we are hoping to get accomplished sooner rather than later......

Once that's in place, it will be a *lot* easier to do some of these things.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to stop the printed version, and just put them in a password protected area here?
