I am thrilled to anounce this new WTC that is expandable to any lenght you might need by just adding on sections as easy as twisting a cap on!
And just as easy to open.

Made from the same materials that scuba underwater camarra cassings are made from and space age sealing tecknology and preciese molding comes this unique interlocking system of making a WTC.

The large tube measures apoximatly 12 inches by 4 inches OD with a 3.00 inch interior diamiter.

The smaller one is 5 in long,when locked in place with the 4 locking bayonet lugs a snug fit is made and there is no internal ridge or gap.

The seal is not an O ring but a special kind of seal that alows for lateral thrust and is made to withstand seveare exposure to asids.Placed on an internal shoulder ridge with a grove .It is also replaceable.

The caps come in a variaty of shapes depending on the function required and also have the same seal if used on the male side of the tube.

One cap even has a seperate smaller cap for rapid draining or acses without removing the main cap ,for lets say the main switch .

I can build for you a custom WTC with the motor or motors shown and cooled or not ,with all the components necessary to run a pump operated ballast system with your radio gear installed and tested to 30 ft ,starting at 280.00$ depending on number of motors and acessories.

Or I can supply the raw WTC components ready for you to build as you like.

The reason I like this WTC are the following.

Engineered not to leak under the harshesed conditions either from the outside or from the inside.

High qualty construction and materials far serpass requirements for RC submarines and are in the realm of Millitary speck equipment.

Easy to expand and interchange with other internal trays intendid for other subs.
If you break one its no big deal ,your back in the sea at no time!
Parts readily available,no special toolling required in the WTC walls or caps.

1/4 inch thick walls!

Positive locking bayonet system.

No stress tranmitted to the internal tray which is a problem on other WTCs.

Chemical and thermal resistance is very high especialy usefull in pools with clorine that distroy seals.

And its clear.

Hello. Is 4 inch DIA. the only size for the WTC? Need 3.5 OD
For the ROBBE type XXI do you make the WTC as a kit for instalation in a type XXI, instead of you building the boat?

I have a Robbe XXI and I will be changeing out the WTC for this one .
And yes I could get a kit together for yours.
I can also build the complete sub aswell modified to dive staticly.


On my XXI the original WTC was not glued in and can come out completly and the new one instaled but some guilds would have to be installed.The rib diamiter seems to be just right ,Ill have to look at it again and post the results.

I know that it fits in the OTW XIII,OTW Type 7 ,Oscar and many other subs as long as the diamiter is 4 in or more,from there any lenght it obtained with ease along with seperate compartments.


This WTC far serpasses even the Robbe WTC in quality and ease of use to mention a few points.

Add 30.00 for the same long section or 15.00$ for a short one.

I can install your components or mine and naturaly the cost is less if your parts are used.

It is important that the lenght of WTC be set so that the component bed be made to fit,it can be shortened later but difficult to lenghten.

Here is the latest picture of the build of one with water coolling and master switch.
All shafts are prescition centerless ground stainless steel and the U jouints are stainless steel 3/16 on both ends of high qualty.
In the bay below will be the 2 pumps one for ballast system the other for the masts.

Just check the inner dimentions against my WTC dimentions stated above .A sigle WTC section or add one small one.
The OD diamiter is always 4.0 in .
As long as it fits it will work then just add or subtract boyancy as normal.

Probably the one long and one short would work with an in the wet ballast tank.
Or 2 large ones all components internal set up.
I can install as many servos needed.
You wont be disapointed with this WTC its more than nice!

A question about the dimensions. If the OD is 4 inches and the walls are 1/4" thick then shouldn't the ID be 3 and 1/2 inches and not 3 inches. I could really use all of the 3 and 1/2 inches as an ID.

The Bayonet system make the 4.0in diamiter while the walls OD are a bit over 3.5 leaving the interior diamiter 3.0in.

You would be surprised how much space there is inside and regular size servos can be used and it can be expanded as long as needed.

Nice to get some recocnition once in a while!

I have searched for a very long time on this subjct and the best I could find are my own systems for making a WTC without machinning end caps ext.

PVC works very well and can be made to seal with O rings quite easely if you use a sleave union cut in half and then glued in about an inch down the tube with a slip on cap behind it for alighnement ,then once set slip on an O ring and the cap.

To secure the cap use stainless draw latches 4 or 3 and are installed with stainless screws.

The advantage to this WTC is that sizes from one inch to 6 inches in diamiter can be made.
Also PVC can be had in clear standard sizes with caps but its alot more expensive as in 60$ a foot!

Yes I can see your problems with acrilic plastics very fragile and not realy well suited for the harsh enviroment of RC subs.

The WTC that I make above is very strong and is made to take a beating and garanteed not to leak.

If you can use my WTC it would save you alot of hassle and money in the end run.

Just make your internal components longer instead of wider and even the large ballast tank can be atached with an adapter ring to any standard diamiter.

Another feature I need to

Another feature I need to mention.

This WTC can also be used with CO2 and R cabs systems.

Also the ballast tank area can be opened and complete acsses is available and adjustable in volume by adding or removeing short or long sections that have a built in tank bulkhead with just a twist of the tube!

This feature alone makes it possible for central ballast tanks to have inner components such as hydraulic mast cylinder or more than one cylinder for indipendant operation be more scale like as the mast will be able to go almost to the keel as do full size subs do.I will post this option soon.

Unlike other WTCs the end cap must come off and inner components removed and another bulkhead removed very carefully as not to crack the thin walled plastic then hope it does not leak ,I have seen alot of these problems and now have found a solution.
