New End Caps

I will soon be offering resin cast endcaps for sch 40(thin wall) 3" pvc tubes. It is a really easy way for anyone to construct their own WTC at an extemely low price. PVC tubes can be purchase at any home improvement store, such as lowes or home depot. Not to mention the tubes can handle up to 150# of pressure. I havent set a price yet because it will depend on the amount of resin they will use to cast. Let me know if you have any intrest so I know how many to make after creating the master.

Well the end cap molds

Well the end cap molds are made and ready for distributing. They are going to go fro 25 dollars for a pair.

They work great and require a size 211 oring for a nice and tight seal.

Wow you need 6" endcaps? I can look into it if you really want. Problem is I need a sample of the tube you want to fit to ensure the ID and OD are right. Also i need to make sure the oring would fit correctly.

Hummmmmm Sounds Like A 1/48 Scale Or Better?
I'm Using The 6 inch Tubes Also.
Experimenting With 18in x 6; 24in x 6
And My Wopper .....You Guessed It A
48in x 6 Tube.
The Smaller tubes Will Be A Combo Control-Battery/ Ballast Tank Coupled To Existing Separate Propulsion Boxes.
The Larger Will Be Control-Battery/Ballast Tank/Battery-Propulsion
Single Tube .....Oh And The Tubes,I Have, Purchased At Different Shops, All Had Varied Interior Diameters; (Wall Thickness .250 +/- .005) Not What I Expected.....But workable!
I'll Post Pictures Of the Way I Partitioned The Smaller Tubes. You May Be Interested In Trying It.

Yes, you could say I'm making a large boat. It's a Type VIIc/41 U-boat in 1:25 scale, making it 8'9" long with a beam in the 10" range or so. I've got a build thread going on it in the builder's forum. (Three different parts). I've still got my sights set on Christmas for having the model complete....then....comes the WTC.








That's a 4' "T" square on top of the drawings, to give you an idea of scale and right about where the long arm of that square is situated, is where my WTC is going to go inside the hull.
