Hope it sells well so we can get more vintage sub types. And when is someone going to come out with a kit to change the Skipjack to a George Washington?

Sonar, love the site and the photos! That is one beautiful boat at 1/32 scale! How do you make the smoke transition to diving? When the stack goes down, does that seal off the oil from getting water? Would enjoy seeing more.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

The radio masts and chimneys must be turned down for diving. The smoke generator must be closed, it works like a tap. A passage is just now if you turn it 90 °, it is closed. This is done through the chimney, it is the tap. Upright it lets the smoke through, when it is turned down it is closed.

If possible could you post a picture of the smoke stack up and down and the mechanism?

Here you can see the chimneys with the tap, the smoke generator and its position in the boat.

                      Hello all,

I am starting kit development of SM U-23. It will not be ready till end of 2021 but will be 1/54 scale so it will be approx 1200mm long.
