HOTEL INFO: Carmel R/C SUB FUN RUN August 9 - 10, 2025

We are once again pleased to announce Hotel reservations at the
Carmel Hilton Garden Inn, Carmel Indiana has been set up at a
Subcommittee discounted group rate of $131 plus tax per night for
one King with a sofa bed, or two Queen Beds.

This group rate is good from a check in date of August 7, 2025
and a check out date of August 11, 2025.

Just Select the dates you will be attending the R/C SUB FUN RUN Event.

2025 CARMEL R/C SubRegatta “LUNCH and LEARN”

WE are pleased to announce on Saturday August 9, 2025 we will
again have a LUNCH and LEARN session under the tent.

This year we would again like to THANK Loyalhanna Dockyard for
supplying the Pizza for our “LUNCH” portion of the LUNCH and LEARN
session.

We are again looking for volunteers and suggestions for topics that are
related to the R/C Submarine Hobby.

The presentation will be limited to approximately 10 to 15 minutes so
as to get a variation of topics.

Please use this thread to suggest various topics related to the
R/C Submarine Hobby.

If you are interested in presenting a short topic please PM me
(Don Osler) or send an e-mail to carmelraffle1@gmail.com or you
can also PM Don Spielberger.

Please also note we are changing the EVENT name from the CARMEL
R/C SUB FUN RUN TO the 2025 CARMEL R/C SubRegatta.

2025 Carmel SubRegatta “LUNCH and LEARN” Update:

This year, one of our Master Modelers, Rick Teskey, is
going to present a short presentation about his Flying Sub (FS1).

Rick has been successfully running his Flying Subs (FS1) as well
as the plastic Moebius Flying Sub for many years.

2025 Carmel R/C Submarine SubRegatta
August 9 - 10, 2025

INFO:

REGISTRATION: Cost Per Submariner participants is $50.**

This Fee includes ID BADGE, Sub Model running privileges,
Torpedo Plaque, Goodie bag, and 2 days UNDER the
tent table space.

**Registration Fee had to be increased due to the
increase in the Tent, Table and Chairs cost.

NOTE: ANY Junior Submariner Captains, age 15 and under,
AND accompanied by a 2025 Carmel SubRegatta
Registered (ie paid) Adult, do NOT have to pay a
registration fee. PLEASE include the Junior
Submariner NAME when you register, for His
or Her’s ID Badge when Pre-Registering for the event.

**A link for the 2025 Carmel R/C Submarine SubRegatta
pre-registration and T Shirt ordering will be posted
in the near future.

SATURDAY R/C LUNCH and LEARN TECH SESSION:
It will be held under the tent on Saturday. Pizza will be provided.

You will have to supply your own beverage.

FREQUENCY CONTROL: ALL SUBMARINERS must operate on
the legal 75 MHz or 27 MHz land frequencies. Amateurs using
the radio control model craft frequencies (6 meter), or 433 MHz
must have a label indicating the station call sign and the station
licensee’s name and address affixed to the station transmitter.

Please indicate your Frequency when you pre-register.
This will help us get the max Subs out in the water without
frequency interference.

Any questions can also be answered at the morning
Captain’s meeting.

CAPTAIN PRE-REGISTRATION: If you want your BADGE
to have a particular name or Business shown please
indicate this when you pre-register.

RAFFLE: The Raffle will be held on Saturday and Sunday.

Proceeds from this raffle funds this event.

Raffle post for a preview of some of the donated
R/C model goodies to be raffled off.

SWAP TABLE: We will again have a SWAP table for both
Saturday and Sunday. YOU are responsible for selling your
own gear. Mark it clearly with the price and your name so
your potential buyer can track you down.

2025 CAPTAIN CHOICE Awards and Big Dave
ENGINEERING Award:

All Carmel 2025 R/C Submarine SubRegatta registered
Sub Mariner Captains will vote for their favorite R/C Submarine
that is present at the Carmel 2025 R/C Submarine SubRegatta.
(Captain Choice Awards)

There will be a second ballot to select the best Engineered
R/C Submarine at the Carmel 2025 R/C Submarine SubRegatta.
(Captain Choice Big Dave’s ENGINEERING Award)

Again, ALL 2025 R/C Submarine SubRegatta registered
Sub Mariner Captains will vote for this award.

2025 Carmel T- shirt:
This year the Carmel 2025 R/C Submarine SubRegatta
T- Shirt will be Ash Gray in color and the design will be as shown.
The T- Shirt will be 100% cotton.

The 2025 Carmel R/C Submarine SubRegatta T-shirt is presently
going out for quotes. More information on price and ordering
information to follow.
