Love the photos! Thank you Bob!
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

I would like to thank all who were involved in making the 2022 Carmel RC Sub
Fun Run a great success. The weather was not too hot and the tent was full with
Sub Captains and boats. Our Saturday Lunch and learn involved Pizza and two
very interesting seminars on 3D printing and running RC Submarines with 2.4 GHz
radio’s. There were over 36 Subs entered into the Captain’s Choice awards.
The Indy Admirals had set up a small course out in the pond for anyone willing to test
their navigation skills and as usual there were many great prizes to be had at the raffle
table. I will follow up with the event raffle summary soon.

2022 Carmel R/C Sub Fun Run Wrap Up:

Many Thanks to all who attended this year for the 7th Annual Carmel
R/C Sub Fun Run. After almost 3 years of delay due to Covid we were
finally able to have this great outdoor event. This year we had over 25 registered
Sub Captains and over 40 R/C Submarines. (36 of which were entered for the
Captain Choice awards.) The weather both days was pleasant and not too hot or cold!

We had many R/C Subs patrolling the Carmel pond at the same time.
The Raffle tables were fully stocked on both days. I want to extend a very
special thanks to all who donated this year as your donations once again
generated enough money to pay for the event! THANK YOU!

Our Swap table was very busy as well. This year’s Lunch and Learn
session was another great success. Bob and Helen provided us with pizza
as the FireHouse Subs ran into difficulty at the last moment and canceled
out on our order! The pizza was good and the seminars began. Many thanks
to Bob Eisler who enlightened us on 3D Printing and “Sub Ed” Tordahl
discussed using 2.4 GHz radio’s with R/C Submarines.

Unfortunately we did not get a group picture this year. Captain Choice Awards
and and new Award, the Jeff LaRue U-Boat Award were presented. Everyone
enjoyed the raffle which was held both days.

I would like to mention the following people who without all their
efforts, we could not have such a successful event.

                  SPECIAL THANKS:

                  Chris Campbell:
Organizing and Arranging the pond and town permits for us.
Ordering our Large tent, tables and chairs
Arranging our Hilton Garden Inn group rates
Collecting Raffle Prizes for us from out of town donations
Pulling the winning Raffle tickets on both Saturday and Sunday

Gene Weisner and the Indy Admirals:
For providing all the Sub Captains with tents for shade at the pond.
For loaning us the power Sub Launcher
Trash bags and helping is set up and tear down

                  Don Spielberger:
For being the Co-Chairman of this event
                  For ordering our Event T-Shirts

                  Kevin McLeod:
Handling the Radio Frequency control again.
                  (No small task!)

                  Greg and Laura Wagner:
Providing power and cables for charging batteries under the tent.
Providing us with Cookies to munch on.

                  Bob and Helen Gesking:
Organizing the Pizza for the Lunch and Learn.
                  Organizing the Sunday night dinner.

                  Don May:
Handling on Site Registrations and goodie Bag distribution.

                  Bruce and Brenda Martin:
For all their help with the Raffle

                  Pete Piekarski:
                  For his T-Shirt design.

Finally a Thanks to all the folks and vendors who attended, donated to
the raffle, and bought lots of raffle tickets. Without your support,
this event could not be successful.
