    7th ANNUAL 2022 CARMEL SUB FUN RUN AUGUST 13 - 14, 2022
    PRE REGISTRATION & T-SHIRT, Ordering


    REGISTRATION: Cost Per Submariner participants is $15.
    (One time registration is good for both days of the Fun Run)

    This Fee includes ID BADGE, Sub Model running privileges,
    Torpedo Plaque, and under the tent table space. The registration
    Bag may also contain some additional donated goodies.

    ALL Model Submariners MUST be registered to participate at the event.

    On Site registration will also be available.


    PRE-Registering: Please indicate your TX Frequencies
    so we might take care of any Radio Conflicts.

    If you have any preferences for your name and or SubRon for your
    ID Badge, please indicate this when you pre-register.

    2022 CARMEL SUB FUN RUN T-SHIRT:

    These shirts are high quality pre-shrunk 100% cotton.
    This year the T-Shirt is Light Gray.

    $17 for sizes M-XL
    $20 for 2XL
    $22 for 3XL


    ALL T-SHIRT Orders must be received on or before July 25th, 2022.

    NOTE:It is preferred that all T-SHIRT orders must be picked up at the event.

      WE are pleased to announce on Saturday August 13, 2022 we will again have a Lunch and Learn.
      A FireHouse Subs Delux box Lunch will be available for advance purchase. Cost is $13.50.

      The details of the lunch are:

      The deluxe box lunch contains two meats (Virginia honey ham and smoked turkey breast),
      provolone cheese, lettuce, and tomato; Mayo and deli mustard on the side.
      The Box lunch also comes with chips and a dill pickle.

      YOU are responsible for your own beverage.

      Cost is $13.50 and this will cover the complete cost of the box lunch as described,
      tax, delivery and a tip for the driver.

      As we need to order a few days before, we will need to pre-sell these lunches and also
      pre-pay.

      There is now a purchase button set up on the Carmel PRE-REGISTRATION thread
      so that you can purchase and pay for your lunch ahead of time.

      It will NOT be possible to buy a Firehouse Subs box lunch at the site so if you are going
      to want one then make sure you sign up for one. Of course you are free to do whatever
      you want for lunch, this is just an option to save time and hassle for those that would
      rather maximize their fun time and minimize their worrying about lunch time.

      We will take orders up through Sunday August 7, 2022. At that time the purchase button will be closed.

        CARMEL 2022 R/C SUB FUN RUN ITINERARY

        Below is the tentative CARMEL 2022 R/C SUB FUN RUN ITINERARY.
        As a reminder, every Registered Sub Captain receives a goodie bag that
        includes the Torpedo plaque, ID badge, and other donated items.

        We want to Thank LOYALHANNA DOCKYARD for their generous goodie
        bag donations.

        If you have not done so already, please remember to make your reservations
        at the Carmel Hilton Garden Inn. To be sure you get the SubCommittee Group
        rate, use the Hilton Garden Inn link on page 1 of this thread.

        New for this year will be the Jeff LaRue U-Boat Award. Jim Butt will post
        some information about this Award soon. This Award will be given out on
        Saturday with the Captain Choice Awards.

          All Sub Captains, this is just a reminder that if you have anything
          that you would like to donate to the 2022 Carmel Sub Fun Run Raffle
          you do not need to be present to donate. Items can be shipped to
          Chris Campbell at the following address:

            2022 Captain Choice Awards and Captain Choice
            Big Dave ENGINEERING Award:


            This year we will again have the Captain Choice Awards and the
            Captain Choice Big Dave ENGINEERING Award.

            ALL Carmel 2022 R/C Sub Fun Run registered R/C Sub Mariner Captains
            will vote for their favorite R/C Submarine that is present at the FUN RUN.
            (Captain Choice Award)

            There will be a second ballot where ALL Carmel 2022 R/C Sub Fun Run
            registered R/C Sub Mariner Captains will vote for what they believe is the
            BEST Engineered R/C Submarine at the Fun Run.
            (Captain Choice Big Dave’s Engineering Award)

            Votes will be in the Goodie bag.

            As per tradition (Even though it has been a couple of years) the 2019
            1st place Submarine, Bruce Martin’s TYPE XXI will NOT be eligible for
            EITHER of the Captain Choice Awards.

            This prevents one boat from winning every year!

            All participating R/C Sub Mariner Captain’s Submarines are eligible for
            the Captain Choice Award AND the Big Dave ENGINEERING Award.
            (Except for the 2019 Submarine)

            Each participating R/C Sub Mariner Captain also will be assigned a
            number for each boat entered. This number will be used to identify
            the R/C Submarine on the vote ballots. Awards will be announced on Saturday.

              I have been asked to remind everyone that the 2022 Carmel Sub Fun
              Run T- Shirt ordering deadline is July 25th, 2022.

              A very limited quantity of T-Shirts, if any, will be available
              at the Fun Run.

                All, due to disruptions in the supply chain from the still lingering affects of COVID we need to move the deadline for the shirt sales up. We need to close the sales as of noon tomorrow July 20. Sorry for the short notice but just received the call from the shirt printer advising me of the delays in production.

                      For those of us who paid early during the Chinese Flue crisis and were not given a refund, are we getting pre-registered again? Sorry to ask, but I am pretty sure that I paid for entry and a t-shirt two years ago when the Carmel meet was abruptly canceled, and no mention was given of forwarding our payments to the next event. Thank you.

                            Good grief, having to re enter everything i just typed as it wiped it out when i hit send... Anyways, the shorter version is the group rates ended in july even though they still have rooms available so the price per night at the Garden is now 175 a night. I was able to get booked a mile south of there at the Homewood Suites for 129 a night but at that rate is non refundable they said. If anyone else needs a last minute reservation and doesnt want to spend 175, contact Homewood Suites by Hilton Indianapolis Carmel

                              Carmel Registration Link is back up and running! So all you late
                              registering Sub Captains we are going to cut off Pre-Registration
                              this Saturday August 6, 2022.

                              This is to give us time to make Event Badges and goodie bags.
