Don, would love to see you lay up a hull, sure we could learn a lot, even if we just use it to mold smaller bits.

I so wish I could be there, unfortunately school starts early this year (and all future years I suppose). If you do the workshop, please video it. I would love to learn more about fiberglassing.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

I'll get there Friday afternoon. Guess I could be there by a set time if you get something set up. By the way, are you making George Washington hulls yet?

just a quick question for those coming out to carmel. Laura is once again making cookies and chex mix for the event. The question concerns the spicy chex mix. Is it spicy enough or too spicy? I don't do spicy myself so I have no opinion on it to help her out. I know it can't be too hot for Kevin!

For Sub Captains who have not pre-registered but plan on making it to the Sub Fun Run,
Please PM Kevin McLeod with your transmit frequency information. He is in the process
of putting together a Frequency plan.

If you do not want to PM Kevin you can always pre-register.

Just a Note about the Captain Choice Awards:

ALL Carmel 2018 Sub Fun Run registered R/C Sub Mariner Captains, in addition to
voting for their favorite R/C Submarine (CAPTAIN CHOICE) will also have a
2nd ballot to select what they believe is the best Engineered R/C Submarine
                          at the Fun Run.

As per tradition, Last Year's 1st Place Captain Choice Winner, Bruce Martin's I-58
submarine is NOT allowed for both of the competitions. (The I-58 Submarine won both)
This prevents one boat from winning every year.

Each participating R/C Submarine will be assigned a NUMBER.
This NUMBER will be used to identify the R/C Submarine on the voting Ballots.

ALL participating R/C Submarines are eligible for the CAPTAIN CHOICE Award
AND the CAPTAIN CHOICE Big Dave’s ENGINEERING Award except for last year's
                          1st place winner.
