    Bronco 1.35 XXIII with interior

Afetr finishing the Trumpeter VIIc I need a new challenge, and I just love those cut away boats. I decided to get a 1:35 Trumpeter Type XXIII boat and build the interior from scratch. So I started to design the whole boat in 3D CAD, beginning with the diesel Enigine an teh main electric motor.

Another excellent project! This will be enjoyable.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

Completdt the drive train with stuffing box, thrust bearing, the belt drive with the creeper motor, the main clutch, e-motor, Diesel clutch, and the Diesel motor. Now fitting everything into the virtual pressure hull. Tedious but until now, only minor corrections needed.

Added the blower for the room ventilation. Here starts the guesswork because plans and descriptions are not clear about position and size. Also added the first sketch of the air induction and the air exhaust masts. Again, plans are not coherent...again, some room for guessing.

Again, plans are not coherent...again, some room for guessing and painfully slow reconstruction from some bad photos....nevertheless, getting there:

Found some photos of the induction masts which booked me into a complete redesign of the masts and the respective piping. Again, allot of guessing, but the green pipes are according to the ventilation plan and comply with the pics...tedious.

More detail work. With the help of the iron plan of the Type XXIII I added the machine bases and floor. On the starboard side, benath the floor plates and parallel to the Diesel was the lubricating oil tank.

Working on the toilet...a special one that was emptied using compressed air.
