    Review of the Pegasus NAUTILUS

I also want to light my kit.

I'm currently in the middle of a build of one of these for a friend of mine out of NY. Beautiful little kit. I've added lights to the interior and exterior as well.

    Highly recommended!

      OK. Here are the measurements.

      Main hull 29.3cm or 11.53in

      LOA 39.73cm or 15.6in

144 scale gives the hull at 42.2m or 138.4ft. And LOA would be 57.2m or 187.7ft.

This is far short of the 70m length given in the book. The model needs to be 48.6cm or 19.1in long.

Here are a few shots of my work-in-progress Pegasus buildup. I'm just working on a custom display stand with some more LED lights and it should be ready to go!

Any possibility of this model to be RCable?

The model is less than a foot long. I don't think there is much you can do with it other than use it as a pattern to make a bigger model.

              Bob,
Did you dry brush the hull with a silver? I like the effect. How did you do that?
              Peace,
              Tom
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

                Tom,

If my fading memory recalls correctly, I did a base coat of silver followed by a layer of rust solution (you see that on all my Nautilus builds), then another dry-brushed layer of silver to tone back the rust again.. I think there may also have been a wash of thinned black in there somewhere as well.

I still have two of these on the shelf unbuilt. I really love them.

Thank you! I can run with that.
