This is for a basic Akula type hull that is approx. 80" long with an 8.5" beam. It will take 4lbs. - 6lbs. of water as ballast. The boat is really a test bed for electric motor torpedoes and some other electronic and mechanical ideas.

Geared pumps don't have a terribly high flow rate in relation to their size. A good pump is made by a company called Kavan. This pumps about 1.8 litres a minute, and can make about 40psi.
You would probably want two of these running in parallel for a boat your size.
