Negative on the CR drive. It would be a nice detail but adds alot of complexity to a project that is supposed to be simple. Will be spinning the aft prop only. Will do some testing to see if I can keep the forward prop stationary or just create a new hub without blades. Using a 5 pole speed 400 and 7.2 volt so the speed should be just right.

Rigged up the prop shaft and bonded the upper cut hull. Hull cradles will be put in next and then the cuts to make the driver compartment. The entire upper torpedo needs to be extended so I will probably turn an entirely new front from Rennshape.

Plan on using the rear prop only so I build a spacer to replace the forward one. Starting to fair it all in. Also, got all cradles, hatch pins and blind nuts installed. Time to break out the Bondo and sandpaper.

Molded up a set of brackets to hold the two models together. Still needs the metal side plates with bolts to make it strong.
Blind nuts in the weapon torpedo allow it to be removed for service.
Also did the hull seam and got it to about 95% done. Stern is blended to the aft prop and almost ready.

Finally found some time to finish this thing up. All I really need to do is paint, trim and detail it out.
Plan to do the torpedo in silver / brass and the sub in a dark gray with the possibility of a "non scale" splinter pattern on the topsides.....

Final details and paint are done. Just needs a surface trim to be complete. Photos at the lake will be next....

Did a trim test and had the same problem as my Delfin. TAIL HEAVYYYYYYYYYYY. Starting to cram the foam into all possible corners. I hate doing this as the internals look less clean but it is necessary in this case.

Were the welds done with thick cyano? Did you paint the camoflage shapes freehand or cut a stencil?

Thanks Andy,

Used a gel superglue for the welds and all paintwork is done by hand. I usually have to go back with the base color to adjust the pattern till it's right...
