It's also worth mentioning that Subtech are now doing a range of WTC's that may be very suitable. I believe they're made by a company called A1 down under models, who unfortunately don't have a website address, but it's my understanding that they can do a very wide range of WTC sizes using a pumped water ballast system.

        Re: Deboer 57 inch Seaview

OK here is my next hurdle.
I want to get one of these.
I have asked my favorite builder of WTC, Big Dave, but he has been silent on the subject, so I think he is not interested.
I want to source a WTC in America if possible...
        Any suggestions are appreciated.
I need the information that Steve has on the dimensions of this WTC, some of which he has shared with me in private.
I hope that with Steve's knowledge, that I can source a American or Canadian WTC. Or it is time to make my own.
        Thanks
        Dean

Just a throught. What about adding a keel on the underside of the seaview ? Would the appearance be to shocking? Would the keel be the answer?

Where Steve has got the waterline on the 57" Deboer is about as far as you want to go really. Any higher, and you're likely to get problems with the thrusters sucking in air etc.

                    Stop that you're being silly!

BD. Make big cylinder for Dean. Will be cool and great. 3 inch. And how about a big PJ?? I've used both and your PJ beats the props hands down.

Sorry Big Dave, I had to bring out my special weapon, Steve.

I would love to have the one and ONLY PTJ Seaview.

You got the time, we got Steve, I got the money.
I feel so confident with Steve and Big Dave, I know that it would work, because they know their stuff, thats why Big Dave is thinking.

I got an email from BD.
                      He is thinking.
I asked him if he would be interested in putting together for me....
I also asked for a personal one of a kind pumpjet.
                      We could all be famous

You live close enough, BD, that I could drive down to pick it up when it was completed.
Thats why I figured your the man....I would love to drive to California, Steve, but then I would never come home.

                            This is getting good!
A BD pumpjet big enough to drive a 57 might also be good for us 80 builders?

The 80" is a lot more boat to push through the brine.

I suspect any performance advantage is likely to be a virtue of the better efficiencies of large props. You could always grow your own.

I have 52mm props in the 80, and your bilge pump suggestion for the ballast system is on my bench and moving along very well.
                                Thanks again.
