    Sanding Epoxy

When using 2 part 30 minute epoxy and micro-balloons as filler, what grit sanding paper works best? Is it best to wet sand?

    sand wet !
    the dust

    sand wet !
the dust is an irritant and goes everywhere.
wet sanding keeps the dust manageable.

a simple dust mask wouldn't hurt either.

      Kyle,

      I agree with Ronald....always wet

      Kyle,

I agree with Ronald....always wet sand. It also will give you a better sanded finish.

As for the grit to use, it depends on how much sanding you need to do. I typically start with either a 320- or 400-grit and work down to 600- and 1200-grit.

It's best if you do some practice sanding to figure out what grits work best for you.
