My other hobby is scuba diving, in particular deep wrecks. A group of us have taken up placing gnomes (complete with motorbike (cos they come that way) onto wrecks where they are unacesible to most divers. >40M (130feet) the latest one made it into the engineers workshop on a former supertanker. Need to go back with camera to get the evidence.
So, who do I have to rub out to get a Beta 1.5 WTC to test out on my pocket sub project..?
I just finished a success refit of my mahogany runabout that has me looking at getting a pocket sub project going. Oh Yeah, it's the Yamato model that I brought to the past fun floats & we talked about how to make it work.
Hmm, 10-11 inches in length & 1.5 inch in dia might just work. I have to do a pre-assembly to see what's - what.
Well I got a 1.5 cylinder and its pretty cool stuff. The motor is an external brushless and the ballast tank uses a pump to blow water in from the surface and a solenoid valve to vent it. Only problem is it is acrylic and not lexan.
This is going to be an easy fit up aswell the thing is flush with the walls inside so I think I am going to have to make some kind of side panel access for it. Here are some shots before I start hooking everything up.
