I just thought I would give an update on my FS-1 project.
Well the update is I have not touched it in a few months.
That is not exactly true as I did touch it to move it the other day.
I have made an executive decision and have decided to wait for the new Mobius kit.
Even Rick Teskey told me I should just get that one and not put all the work required that I have left into mine.
I had to agree when I found out that it is the same size as mine.
I already have the drive system designed and built so it should work in the new FS-1 kit.
So all my work was not in vain as it allowed me to design the operating system and get more experience building a hull from scratch.
I will continue with the FS-1 project when my new kit arrives. BD.

Well to not make effort wasted.

How did the new technique for coating the foam work out in your opinion?

I think it worked out

I think it worked out well. Other than the amount of sanding involved in getting the final surface correct. It is not as messy as working with fiberglass. I still plan to finish the raw shape and then open the hull up to melt out the foam. I want to see how the thickness worked out.
It was still a lot of fun to do.
Except for the blasted sanding that is!!
BTW- Did I mention I hate sanding!! BD.
