    Never seen the last two.

Never seen the last two. Are you going to leave a tube in the mast so we can wire up the mast light.

      Nope. It's not big enough

Nope. It's not big enough for any LED bulb I've ever seen to fit.

Now if I were to cast that one in clear, then an LED could be placed somewhere below it and still shine up through to the light, although I'm not sure how bright that would be. But I'm not going to cast it in clear, except for maybe myself. Anyone else would need to make a mold and do that themselves.

I'm told that the Q-tip looking one is an HDR (High Data Rate) antenna for satellite reception, military, or NFL.

          dunno the true size,
but I regularly sand off leds to the desired shape.

so, with a bit of filing it might just work...

yeah I have gotten some pretty small leds before. Usually from salvaging electronics. Who knows pete it may be possible. Ill just grind a channel in and then refill it.

Are you making a snorkel mast so I can have a working LPB

              No, I'm not making a

No, I'm not making a snorkel. As it is, the base of the sail is already getting in the way of where these masts would go down. So that will take some work on the builder's part to make clearance for them, unless they just cut them off so they barely sit in the top. That's up to them.

But there has to be some substance to the front and back of the sail in order to affix it to the hull. There's about 3/8 of an inch from the front, that is solid all the way from the top to the bottom of the sail. Then about 1/2 inch at the back the same way. WHere it touches the hull, this gives places for attachment screws to connect into.

Kevin, what comes up in the third row back on the port side behind the antenna mast? There's one more mast opening there that I have not found any pictures of it extended.

              Pete

Yes, the one circled. What is that?

The HDR antenna goes where the box is drawn on the SSGN.

Pete if you go to navsourse there is a hi res version of the second picture I put up that shows it at least partially in the up position.
Never mind, if you click the picture again it goes hi res. I need some sleep.

You need to check these out then, (http://www.ngineering.com/lightng.htm ) they are so small you need an optivisor just to see them and wire them

I use these in my model railroading all the time.

I thought that you would get a kick out of these, he sells magnet wire in two colors and that is what I use, If you explore the web site he will show how to wire them. If you need water proof I have after testing them set them in clear epoxy and liquid electrical tape.
