Nope. It's not big enough for any LED bulb I've ever seen to fit.
Now if I were to cast that one in clear, then an LED could be placed somewhere below it and still shine up through to the light, although I'm not sure how bright that would be. But I'm not going to cast it in clear, except for maybe myself. Anyone else would need to make a mold and do that themselves.
I'm told that the Q-tip looking one is an HDR (High Data Rate) antenna for satellite reception, military, or NFL.
yeah I have gotten some pretty small leds before. Usually from salvaging electronics. Who knows pete it may be possible. Ill just grind a channel in and then refill it.
Are you making a snorkel mast so I can have a working LPB
No, I'm not making a snorkel. As it is, the base of the sail is already getting in the way of where these masts would go down. So that will take some work on the builder's part to make clearance for them, unless they just cut them off so they barely sit in the top. That's up to them.
But there has to be some substance to the front and back of the sail in order to affix it to the hull. There's about 3/8 of an inch from the front, that is solid all the way from the top to the bottom of the sail. Then about 1/2 inch at the back the same way. WHere it touches the hull, this gives places for attachment screws to connect into.
Kevin, what comes up in the third row back on the port side behind the antenna mast? There's one more mast opening there that I have not found any pictures of it extended.
Ha Pete I was just looking over old posts for this thread and noticed your wearing your Rhode Island hat! Good show warrior! We aint the number 1 boomer for nothing!
As for that third row scope. I couldnt remember what you were talking about and for good reason. We didnt have one. Sorry Pete perhaps it was an after though. I even went back over tiger cruise pictures to verify and nothing.
Pete if you go to navsourse there is a hi res version of the second picture I put up that shows it at least partially in the up position.
Never mind, if you click the picture again it goes hi res. I need some sleep.
Thanks for the pictures of my boats in process construction. It is starting to look really amazing. I cant believe you've made all that already considering I just sent the check out. Keep up the pace buddy I am drooling over here!!
Kevin
I thought that you would get a kick out of these, he sells magnet wire in two colors and that is what I use, If you explore the web site he will show how to wire them. If you need water proof I have after testing them set them in clear epoxy and liquid electrical tape.
