OK I can now see there has been changes done to the Seawolf vers the older LA class boats..
the Hull on the SW is fatter in diameter than the Dallas and the sail
is smaller and the the pumpjet screw is shrouded and not inside the hull as in the past subs. I seen that Motorworks has also made the turning motor props 3 bladed compared to the 2 blades on the LA class subs.. I hope to get out and do some testing soon, this might
be fun! ok..that was stupid to say..we know it's fun!
What about the electronics? They improved them? The latest LA boats had faulty electronics (I know that that can fixed)
From what I seen tonight, I believe this is a good improvement
over the old DAllas boat...and I am planning some mods NOW for the Seawolf.
Pictures and comparing the two will be coming up soon..
Let's just say a Stock Seawolf and a slightly modded Dallas are a good match against the other..when I mod the Seawolf, she will be the one to beat.
Well the Seawolf will run circles around a unmodified Dallas and a modded Dallas runs about the same speed as a Seawolf that has not been modded.. so theis Wally Sub is a good improvement over
it's older sibling.
If you look at the picture of the subs, you will notice a fan duct
that does from the top to bottom of the sub, that helps it dive from a stand still and then near the rear you have two props with the same setup that pushes the stern left or right..kinda like a pumpjet for steering or diving...

I have an update coming up.....
The Update is the Seawolf sunk after 20 minutes in the water
and I have no way or recovering her
it's about 15 feet from shore when I did one more dive...that one more dive must have pinned her on something, she won't surface..
OK A NEW Seawolf was put into service and I did manage to get some play time into it, make sure nothing leaked and the balance
was made good. Also did one mod which is a MUST DO for this sub.
take the rear diving planed and cut the tabs off that holds it to the hull.. use Marine Goop and stick them back on but angled up by 20 degrees.. this seems to work well in the pond.
Hmmm more test coming..
I have more time now since I'm winding down the end of the car projects.
