hi guys,seen some prop seals,but lost the address,these where larger seals located in brass tube,has any one used them and are they any good.is it a good idea to build your own,have details of o ring seals with silicone oil between,any advice appreciated

Check out Mike's Sub Works
Check out Mike's Sub Works and grab one of the Subtech stuffing boxes. They use the oillite seals, which seal harder with increased pressure. I run them on my own stuffing box and linkage seals and they work great, even up to over twenty feet in depth.
O-rings, while functional, add a lot of friction to your assembly, reducing run time and adding wear to your motor.

these stuffing boxes with the oilite seals, seal harder with increased pressure? Is there any information on what the maximum pressure can be? I am looking for about 140-150 psi (including comfortable safety margin).

hi guys,thank you for the help-found seal on german site www.modelluboot.de-just like miniture oil seals,in 3-4-5 mm ID,but will go with the subtech shaft seals.
