The cut in the picture is very close to what I did, I too followed molded weld lines for my cuts. I have the center deck section attached to the removeable section. I don't think it is a good idea to flex the hull to add or remove a WTC, I have found the plastic of this kit to be fairly brittle it wont take too much flexing before it cracks.
I plan to be at Riverside at about 0900. They say that the regatta is primarily tug boats but I took a third place Military last year. I am not sure how they see the distinctions, but it is a good time nonetheless.
Don't see the picture Steve. Not even a link marker.
My equipment is all the best it gets since I work in CGI and have cable.
I don't get it.
Steve
BTW
You must of got a bad casting. I've been taking my 2 inch WTC in out through the deck for a long time now and have had no problems at all as I'm sure Dave Welch will agree.
I prefer not to cut the hull in such a way as the Robbe U-47 if I can avoid it.
I am browsing on a mac using camino... I can't see the photo either, but I was able to find out why... according to my browser, the URL is malformed, here is the proper URL for those of us whose browsers can't see the photo]http://www.modelbarrels.com/files/hullsplit.jpg[/url]
Try both, they have changed our command 3 times in 6 months so I am not sure which will work.
Hows the work on the albacore going? We have a couple of them here in San Diego. If you have a free weekend come down to San Diego, give me a heads up so I can tell you if I will be out to sea or not.
