Okay, now I just noticed
Okay, now I just noticed something very interesting on the sail of the Seawolf Class. I swear it almost looks like a rudder on the sail...
I found that one of the Albacore variants had this]http://www.geocities.com/byzcol/0856915.jpg[/img]

There's something I'd like to
There's something I'd like to mention here. If you want a real scale Seawolf please consider Matt Thor's Seawolf.
I've had a look at the kit and I'd have to say it's a beauty.
Although the Trumpeter is nice it's no where near as scale. If your in the market for a glass scale sub his price is well worth it IMHO.
Seeing that the Thor kit is 4 inches bigger makes it real close to the Trumpeter kit but that's where the similarity ends.
I'm sure Matt would agree with me here. Not to mention how much more durable his kit is because it's made for RC use where as the Trumpeter is a static model.

Another quick question for Jeff,
Another quick question for Jeff, Tim or anyone else out there, what are the rectangular bumps along the side of the hull of the Seawolf. I notice similar ones are now along the sides of the Collins Class
I know the Collins is being retrofitted with the AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System from the Virginia so am guessing these are related...

Just tried the Seawolf. She
Just tried the Seawolf. She trimmed easy but the prop was just not cutting the mustard.
She dives well with the small ballast for the kilo which was a nice surprise. Sits very level in the water although the water line is a bit below the actual boat. Still it's not that bad at all.
I'm going to replace the prop with a standard Dumas two blade later this week and I should have a happy boat. Over all I'm very pleased.
The prop will be hidden anyway behind the stators so it won't be so bad to look at and I'll have plenty of thrust then.
I will be using on of Dave's new Seawolf WTC's soon. this was just an experiment.

Now that was the fastest reply I've ever gotten. I see I'm not the only night owl. Thanks Steve. Some times you just have to bite the bullet and ask.

Heck. If we didn't how the heck would we learn anything? Never be afraid to ask questions.
I'm lucky if I ever get to bed before 3 am. Just can't shut the old brain off that easy anymore.
Hey, your very welcome Boss.
