    Jeff -

Given those numbers, I'm suspicious of the installation but you know my warranty policy. What are you waiting for?

Wait a minute. Since you're using an 8 channel radio, which channel are you plugging into? Could it be a switched channel? Try removing the signal wire and see if that allows equal travel in each direction.

      Skip,

Not really waiting for anything.....this past weekend just happened to be the first time that I used the unit.

We'll talk about it, I know that you are always good for helping to work out any problems that may exist (including user induced!).

        Hi Paul -

        Hi Paul -
It is pretty hard to give an unbiased opinion on RC sub electronics and you have just seen the reason why - Skip's generous warrentee.

If something is/seems wrong with any SubTech products, Skip will help you diagnose and fix it in a timely manner - even if you have to send it back to the maestro himself! I am a dyed in the wool SubTech products fan for that reason and the fact that the stuff works as advertised - no hidden quirks. That level of service is a rare commodity - especially in RC hobbies.

As an aside, Dave Merriman (D&E Miniatures) and Dave Manley (Small World Models) are two others that always stand behind their products.

              the Pandan website itself

              Dear Skip,
the Pandan website itself says that they are not doing business any longer.

                The dollar to pound ratio

The dollar to pound ratio is very good at the moment!

Most of the pitch controllers on the market use the accelorometer (sic) chips at present.

                Pays your money......!

                  Hey Paul, check that Pandan

Hey Paul, check that Pandan site. It says, in part

Below is a summary of what we will continue to offer on-line]

I can't speak for Dave of course, but it looks like he's shifting his business to run more lean.

                    It would appear that you

It would appear that you are correct. Pandan are still trading on a smaller scale than before and once again I have only read the half of it!!!!

                      Well you are correct in

Well you are correct in a sense, because if he won't sell outside the UK, then he's no longer a resource to the rest of the world.

A little off topic, but... It doesn't take long to realize that a business makes 3/4 of it's money doing the "easy things". That last 1/4 is made through time-consuming, tedious activities. Finding a way to eliminate that last quarter without compromising the first three is a worthwhile pursuit. The last couple months have seen Frank Ryan leave retail, Matt Thor leave retail, Lyle Jansma deciding on complete kits and now Pandan going strictly online domestic. I hate to see less product availability, but markets have a way of balancing themselves out and these vendor decisions are a part of that process.
