My knowledge of electronics is rather limited, so I'll post a somewhat silly question.
What would happen if I hooked up my 9V video camera system to my 12V battery?
Am I looking at a fizzle~pop situation, or is it just "not recommended"?
Reason being is that I'd rather stay away from a separate power source for my onboard camera system, and the sub runs off of 12VDC. Be nice if I could just hook up the camera to my battery.
If it would be 'bad', what options do I have for running the system off my main battery? Is there such a thing as a 9V BE/VR? I don't like the idea of having to crack my camera's WTC to swap batteries every time I want to use it.
