    boat launcher

Several people at Carmel asked me about my launcher frame so I thought I should post it here. I made mine based on one that Rick Teskey has. I'm sure he copied his from someone else. It is made of standard copper water pipe and fittings . I did wrap the areas that would contact a boat with rubber electrical tape to protect the boats.

Here is Southern California (SubRonLA) there seems to be a few of these at out gatherings.
    Hand Carts

Not only are they used to launch and recover boats, they are used to move stuff from car to setup areas and back.

The ones we use have been modified by covering the lower carrier with duck tape and a small ridge put at the end to help stop roll off.
I'll get a photo on the 8th at our next gathering.

I ordered a blue one Ralph. Thank you!

Tom, the last couple of times at the lake, I used Mike's or Will's.
I was there early and ran my Skipjack before everyone started showing up.
I did my normal recovery by getting down on my knees and lifting the boat up to drain and they set it on the grass to get up and then pick the boat up.
My body is telling me, I can not do that too many time before it quits on me.

So, I too had ordered one of these.
            May show up next week.

Ralph, I experienced the same thing. I would get on my knees to launch and it made Mike and Will very nervous. They were sure I would go head first into the pond. I guess it was the unstable way I got up. LOL
So I started to use the dolly and it works great! Look forward to it arriving.

Tom, I am a little older than you and I have experienced getting down on my knees and thinking, I might never get up.
Reaching down to the water to pick up a boat is something that makes me very nervous.

I ordered one last Thursday, Aug 23rd.
I got notice of confirmed order on Thursday.
Order shipped on Friday and late yesterday I got a message saying it should be at the post office Monday ready for pick up.
                We will see.
The shipping notice said Friday the 30th.

I drew it up a while ago at Big Daves request.
It has gotten a lot of use and has been to Carmel more than me
