    ace nautical commander question

Hi all, Can anyone tell me how to add a momentary switch to control channel 6 on a NC radio? it is currenntly a 5 channel unit but there are input pins for channels 6 and 7 on the encoder? board. Would I need to put resistors on the input since there won't be pots involved. Thanks for your time. Greg

    Greg,
Have done this to 2 of my NC's to energize a pump for pump in/out function using a 3 position momentary switch, no resistors were required for this addition, however chan 6 & 7 can be used for proportional function, so if driving a servo or a motor at a desired speed fixed or variable resistors would be required.
The manual for the 7 chan radio (ACE8501) covers channel expansion somewhat. PM me if you need a wiring diagram.
    Hope this helps, Bob.
