Nice job. Looks like the waterline cutting went well. Sorry for the cross posting Erich."What goes down does not always come back up"

A week? more like two days (or so it seems)!
Before I get to absorb all the great things you are doing, it will be done.
Thank you for posting Erich, I know it takes extra time to do that and I really appreciate it.If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

I'm running into a real problem. Yesterday I used Nitro-Stan to fill the small crevices along the seam. It dried, I sanded, I primed, and all looked good. Today, I've been chasing after some of the larger holes with Bondo. After I've filled and sanded, I throw on some primer. I left the hull in the sun to dry the paint. it's about 90+ degrees today. The heat pushed the Notro-stan from yesterday up through and out of the seam and left raised dashes all over the hull. Now Ive had to re-sand them, dig them out a bit, and refill them with bondo. Frustrating.

Erich,
Use Nitro-Stan very sparingly and only in paper thin applications for best results. It is not intended to be used to fill anything but the most shallow blemishes. It does expand quite a bit when exposed to heat if it is applied a tad too thick. Most spot putties are that way. Your other of method of using bondo to fill the crevices is the best way to go. You can feel free to fill any of the remaining, extremely thin blemishes with Nitro-Stan.Regards,
Matt
