I have the canoe almost ready to test. It floats good and the oars move water.
It's way to small and unprotected for open water. But calm day pool testing is coming. BDClick image for larger version

Skip the coffee cup, sail it in a soup bowl! I didn't realize it was THAT small. Wow.

            Ok
            Here it is.
The boat moves but not fast.
One oar was not dipping in the water far, and being so small a contact area the thrust was small.
But as it was just a test I am happy.
            It worked. :https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ltDNkU2k55Q

              Its Alive!

If you could lengthen the outrigger span, could you go to a slightly longer oar? That would give more distance in the water and more thrust.
