    Big Dave,
When I see that outrigger, I think your Minion should be in a Hawaiian shirt.

    :-)

    Peace,

If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

Hang a fishing line with a lead weight under the boat.

Maybe now BD will consider making the Drebble submersible!

                  OK
Question on the strange split rudder. Why?
I can theorize but any body know? BD

That is pretty cool. BD are you thinking of multiple "people" or single rower?

                          Single rower.
                          One of the skulling boats.
Mr Pita wants me to do an old Billings Viking kit I have.
                          Making all the oars move.
                          That would be cool.

                            Hi BD,
                            if memory serves.... :
the oars can only be used to propel the boat forward. The split rudder is therefore used as a brake as well as a rudder.
And it is supposed to counter the backstroke of the oars.
steering was primarily done by driving only the oars on one side, so the rudder does not have an actual rudder function.
