With the addition of the smoke stack and its rigging, the boat, minus the running hardware, is now complete. It's taken me 14 days of solid work to get her to this point. Overall I am happy with the results and would recommend this kit to everyone. Tomorrow I will start on the installation of the running gear. The hull and rudder also need repainted below the waterline.
Comments are appreciated.

What can one say.
14 days!
You are the man Erich!
She is a beauty.
Submarines are my first love but then come Tugboats.
They are just so dam cool.
I have about 7 of them.
My big one is a Hartman Douglas Greg with a twin cylinder Saito live steam engine.
You will want a high torque low RPM motor for her.
One of the high wind 900 size Johnson motors make great tugboat power plants.
May be overkill for your boat though.
As some people will tell you I tend to go for the high power setups.
But don't believe them. They tell lies.

Thanks for the kind words, Dave.
Dumas sells a running hardware kit for this boat. It includes a 12v motor and speed control (controlled by a servo lol), gear reduction, etc. The main kit includes a hardware tray so everything fits perfectly in the boat. It's as simple as following the directions and putting everything where it goes. I expect I'll have it turning the prop within a week. Hopefully.
